Birthday treat

Went out with Joy, Shan and Von to Strangers' Reunion today. Heard they were famous for coffee and waffles. Tried their Hot Mocha, so-so I feel. Waffles no doubt were the best and truffles fries were good too. Though it's a little salty.. The Egg dish with spicy tomatoes (too little) were good too and I think the remaining dishes can forget about it, should we visit there again.

Korean meal

Long overdue post. Met up with Shan and Joy for a meal at Far East Plaza basement Korean Restaurant. Heard nice reviews from ex-colleague and decided to give it a try.

We ordered a BBQ meal and I'll let pictures to continue the story.

JSY Outing - Joy's birthday

We gathered at すきや(Suki-Ya) to celebrate Joy's birthday.

I wouldn't really recommend this place. They have limited choices of hotpot ingredients and the soup base are quite salty! So far, I've tried Sukiyaki and Shabu Shabu.

The two soup bases - darker one is Sukiyaki and lighter one is Shabu Shabu (which is seaweed soup)

Joy was supposed to act "吓到" but doesn't seem like the case.

So I decided to "暗算" and now she does look "吓到"! Hehehe

JSVY Outing - Joy's Birthday

Celebrated Joy's birthday @ いたちょすし @ Ion.


I must mentioned it here that Shan totally forgot to tell me the change from lunch to dinner!! They fixed the dinner @ 4pm as Shan and Von wants to leave early for the Oppositon Party's Rally @ Pasir Ris Park. (Guess facebook really spark off the y-gen's interest in politics.)

But I couldn't wait till 4pm. I would have fainted by then!
I had no choice but to dine first at 313's Food Republic.

In the end, I was too full to consume further. =(
We were also faced with limited affordable dishes to order from especially when their 40 cents "Salmon with Soy Sauce" was out of stock! =(

This was delicious!

A short meeting it had been.
We will meet up again on 28 May!

15 April 2011 - JSVY Outing

Met up for dinner and chilling session @ Starbucks.

Seems like Starbucks is our favourite hangout place.
Have been there for the past few times, lol.


Hmm... Judging from the pics, it seems like only Shan and I were present yea?
We always love to take lots of crazy and stupid pics. LOL.

Since Joy LOVES to siam my cammie, I came up with the idea of using an apple pic to cover her face.
And Shan came up with the idea of the following wordings and to tag her in FB!!!

p.s. I hope our friendship ain't that fragile and will last forever.

Went out with Shan today :)

Random photo taking at one of the shops.

Shan said she wanted to take a picture to show Joy, as she didn't join us today.
Seeing that the salesgirl didn't come over to bother us, I agreed.

As we exit from the shop, I realised that there's CCTV in the shop!!!
Meaning, the salesgirl actually saw everything!
No wonder she was sitting there eating her cup noodles peacefully.
The TV was right in front of her.
Super paiseh can? Faints.

Then this auntie walked near us and asked her son to 'camp' for our table.
Auntie: "Boy, you stand here and wait. They are leaving."

As we have no intention of leaving,
Momo: "Boy, we're not leaving yet. You need to search for other tables."

*Boy went to find his mother*

Auntie diao-ed us and went to complain.

If you realised (from the pics), there's a group of elderlies sitting behind Von and Joy.
So they stood up to gave them the seat.

Auntie shouted sarcastically: "So nice of them to give us the seat!"

Momo buay song, 'cause we did patronise McCafe!
Not that we were hogging the seat for nothing!

This cup was 3/4 filled when the auntie came

Momo said loudly: "Yah, so bad of us not to give you the seat!"

Then retribution came.

Sunday Rox!

Yes, we celebrated the last day of the week by shopping.

This wasn't our initial plan..
But since Shan chose to go to her family doctor, we can go shopping instead of rotting around my neighbourhood!
I suddenly remembered that I haven't go see doc..

Stepped into the shops excitedly.
Stepped out with tons of disappointment.

Tired from the long walk; we decide to stop & rest a while.
Treated them to McDonald's.
Random treats.

All so happy after my sweet treats. Haha!
