It's been a loooong time...

It's been a looooong time since I last blogged sooo actively.
Hmmm.. Why is this so?
Well, I guess there's nothing much for me to blog about ever since I left Citi.
Not that much events with friends. Or perhaps busy pak tor-ing. Hahaha.

Looking at stats, I've posted 86 posts during Jul-Dec last year.
This year is coming to an end and I've only posted 23 posts.
OMG. what a huge diff!

Anyway, I got good news!
I've graduated from my Japanese Elementary Class!! =)
Woo hoo!!!
Now, I'm looking forward to taking the Intermediate level! Hehehe.

Disappointed! I should have performed better in Dictation!

I started this elementary class alone and felt that it was okay to attend classes alone.
Over time, I made friends there and was exceptionally close to Natalie-san.
Well, she was sitting beside me. Hahaha
But, now that she's not advancing to Intermediate, I'm feeling sooo sian about going to classes alone.
BOO! =(

Something fun!!

We were at Tampines 1 last Saturday and I saw this booth where we can dress in Hanbok costume and take pics for free =)

Fun yea?

I wanted to play but Dear was a bit reluctant.
Don't know why. Perhaps due to aging. LOL.
(he's gonna kill me!!)

Anyway, I managed to coax him into it.
Sadly, we didn't get selected to be on their FB page - where the winner will get $100 worth of vouchers.

Stepping into a new world

Two years ago, I stepped into Citi on Friday the thirteen.

Feeling super excited about my new job :)

Two years later, I left Citi on Friday the thirteen.

Left with mixed feelings.

Glad that I'll be doing something different; but at the same time, feeling uneasy about stepping out of my comfort zone.

Weekends ended quickly.

And came 16 May.

Woke up at 6:40am.

Said hello to my new life as a sardine.

I regretted not taking a break.

My inner self cannot adjust to the new environment.

Had a team meeting yesterday.

As I don't understand a single thing, I let my mind wander and these thoughts came to me:

• Why am I in this office instead?
• What's happening in Citi at this very minute?
• Why am I surrounded by people whom I don't know?

Seems scary huh?

One should really take time off.

Location wise, I'm seated between 2 AVPs, the one on my right being my boss.

Glad that his philosophy is: "As long as you can produce results, he's okay with flexible timing."

Heard that from my mentor though.

Am in a team of 3; nice and cosy.

Workload seems okay on my first day, let's pray that will be the case for the many years to come. HAHAHA

p.s. I can view cable cars from my office :)

JSVY Outing - Joy's Birthday

Celebrated Joy's birthday @ いたちょすし @ Ion.


I must mentioned it here that Shan totally forgot to tell me the change from lunch to dinner!! They fixed the dinner @ 4pm as Shan and Von wants to leave early for the Oppositon Party's Rally @ Pasir Ris Park. (Guess facebook really spark off the y-gen's interest in politics.)

But I couldn't wait till 4pm. I would have fainted by then!
I had no choice but to dine first at 313's Food Republic.

In the end, I was too full to consume further. =(
We were also faced with limited affordable dishes to order from especially when their 40 cents "Salmon with Soy Sauce" was out of stock! =(

This was delicious!

A short meeting it had been.
We will meet up again on 28 May!

PAssion ACM Movie Night

It was a nice experience and we definitely enjoyed ourselves :)

Went for lunch at いちばんぼし。
As usual, we will share one set and order additional sushi.

This felt like mixed veg rice. Haha

We went Times after lunch and bought some books.
I bought 4!!! Stunned ttm!
Pics won't be available so soon, cuz my sis's fren opt for home delivery and not sure when will we receive the books.

We reached ACM around 7pm and the lawn is already full ttm when the event is only starting at 8pm!


Found a nice spot and settle ourselves down.


We came prepared with food and drinks (okay, drinks was sponsored by Nescafe. hehehe)


I won't give any outdoor movie screening a miss anymore!!
It was super duper fun!!
Watching "Despicable Me" with tons of strangers, especially with kids sitting at close proximity to you, it suddenly feels like we're one big family.
I always like to be part of a BIG family, so it was a nice experience :)


I didn't have time to prepare sandwiches this time round, will definitely do so the next time!

Met up for dinner and chilling session @ Starbucks.

Seems like Starbucks is our favourite hangout place.
Have been there for the past few times, lol.


Hmm... Judging from the pics, it seems like only Shan and I were present yea?
We always love to take lots of crazy and stupid pics. LOL.

Since Joy LOVES to siam my cammie, I came up with the idea of using an apple pic to cover her face.
And Shan came up with the idea of the following wordings and to tag her in FB!!!

But hey! I've spent some effort editing this okie!!

And surprisingly, Von asked me to tag her in this photo in fb! Shall do so :)

p.s. I hope our friendship ain't that fragile and will last forever.

Attended Citi training - Think on Your Feet®

It was fun! Have enjoyed myself and believed I've learnt a lot of useful skills.


Had this for lunch on Day 2. So-so only.
Didn't bring cammie along on Day 1, hence no pics..

Went out with Shan today :)

Random photo taking at one of the shops.

Shan said she wanted to take a picture to show Joy, as she didn't join us today.
Seeing that the salesgirl didn't come over to bother us, I agreed.

As we exit from the shop, I realised that there's CCTV in the shop!!!
Meaning, the salesgirl actually saw everything!
No wonder she was sitting there eating her cup noodles peacefully.
The TV was right in front of her.
Super paiseh can? Faints.
